The period of several weeks after a quarter ends, when most companies publish their reports.
Explanation
Companies report on a similar schedule, so their publications accumulate within a short window — in the US market, usually from the second week after the quarter ends for about six weeks. In Poland, the deadlines are more spread out because regulations give companies a wider window.
At the peak of the season, hundreds of companies report on a single day. That's why an earnings calendar with filters makes the difference between a manageable list and a wall of text during this period.
Example
The largest US banks kick off the season in mid-January, April, July, and October. Tech companies usually report two to three weeks later.
