MPC — What Is It?
Interest rate-setting bodies in Poland, the Eurozone, and the United States.
Explanation
The Monetary Policy Council (MPC) sets interest rates in Poland and typically meets once a month. The European Central Bank is responsible for the Eurozone, and the US Federal Reserve for the dollar.
The Fed's decisions have a global impact because they affect the dollar's exchange rate and asset valuations worldwide — including on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Example
The meetings of these three institutions are usually the most important items on the macroeconomic calendar for a given month.
